Getting 2 tractors stuck

About 20 years ago, I was the proud new owner of a '52 8N and was using it to clear brush from the site we would later build a house on. This being my first tractor, I wasn't throughly acquainted with its capabilities and limitations, so managed to get it stuck. Nobody around to help push/pull, so I walked over to a neighbor's to see if he could pull me out with his '58 Massey-Harris. It didn't run any better than the 8N, but had wheel weights and was considerably heavier. He wasn't home, but he had told me previously to use it anytime, so I cranked it up and headed to my lot, about half a mile away. Well, long story short, I managed to get the Massey-Harris buried up to the axle and still didn't have the 8N out! About that time, the neighbor showed up and, after a good laugh, we put a couple of winches to work and managed to get both tractors out after about an hour's work, one broken winch, and several trimmed saplings which got 'in the way'! To this day, I've never had the 8N stuck again - maybe I learned something!
