The Toy the Boy Always Wanted

when I was about 6 or 7 my uncles brother in-law had bought a 420c crawler from the state of michigan and called my dad and asked him tocome over and see it from that day I wanted to owen it some day then we moved to arkansas in 1976 and figured I would never see it again well during the mean time my dads brother started his own constuction buisness in moussouri and grew very quickly and he bought new and bigger equipment and had extra equipment laying around dad and my mother wanted to build a new house and wanted my brouther and I help build it well we needed to find something besides a chainsaw and tractor to clear the trees on the land and something to dig the basement dad called his brother and ask him to do some clearing and digging but he was all booked up but he would bring his old backhoe and bulldozer to us and show us how to use them he did and he pulled up with that crawler on that trailer I thought I was going to go nuts it was the same crawler that his brother in law had in michigan well dad bought it after I all most killed my cousin and I on a A john deere pulling alog up hill it flipped over backwards on the log we both jumped off just in time the tractor motor, hood well it was unrepairable dad asked his brother if he would sell the crawler he said yes well since then the motor and rearend had been rebuilt and I had moved to tenn. were I now live with my family my father called me and asked me if I wanted to buy the crawler and I said 'H' yes Ive wanted it since I was a small boy well my father in-law and my wifes uncle went to go get it well thats another story that I wont bore you with well I have used it to clear my land and build my own house and since then I have rebuilt the transmission and it still runs like a deere and I plan on doing a tolal restoration to it and passing on to my son that is now 8 and I hope that he will pass it on to his son. I need some help on the seriel # is 130370 this will help me find out if it is suppose to be yellow like it is or green and yellow with the correct lettering if anybody can help PLEASE e-mail mail me at whitaker@tnet.net David
