My Old Best Freind

When I was only 13 I had more lawnmowers than I knew what to do with. At this age I already baught a brand new lawn tractor, but found that it just didn't compare to the 'Golden Oldies' so I searched the papers and fleamarkets for a old Garden Tractor. Everything I found that I liked was out of my buget, until one lucky day. It was Sunday and I was at the town fleamarket buying more tools and pushmowers like always and all of a sudden there it was! There sat a little gold Garden Tractor! I went over and asked the guy how much he was asking for it and he told me 350 and I went over and looked at it some more and stood there amazed by what great shape it was in! I read the label and it was a Sperry-Rand New Holland S-8, this was not a Ford-New Holland. So I mowed with it a little and new this was the tractor for me. I called my dad to bring the truck up because I baught a Garden Tractor. When we started to load the tractor I was amazed how heavy it was, it took four guys to lift it on the truck. When I got it home I could not believe how sharp it turned! Since I have never heard of a Sperry-Rand New Holland I called the local New Holland dealer trying to find out some history on it. I found out that this tractor is a 1972 model. I am 15 now and have purchased several Garden Tractors sence (new and old) but still stick with and depend on a good freind, one that wich I knew was one of a kind the day I saw him for the first time, the best tractor I have ever owned, my New Holland. Still I am trying to track down any atachments for this tractor, or other S-8 and S-14 tractors. Please let me know if you could help me out.
