My Love for 8Ns and Ford Tractors

I love 8N tractors whether they're painted red, blue, yellow etc. . . you name it, I love it. Even when I was young I liked them and I still do today.

Every time we go to a show like the outdoor farm show or the 'ipm' or shows like that the first thing I look for is an 8N, or tractors that look like ours.

I think that 8Ns are one of the most the most sought after in Canada, if not, the world, because they are so cute, no matter how old they seem to be.

If you've ever driven in one of these things I tell you they are pretty fun to ride in. . . . even in 4th gear.

Last Summer my father and I read in the local paper that the theme for the local fair was tractors so we made the good decision to work on the tractor. The tractor was running ok, but it needed some work and the engine was having problems so we thought that the problem would be with the spark plugs. So we went to the nearest TSC store. We looked in the manual for a Ford 8N and noticed that the required one did not match the one we brought in. . . h10. . . . h12. . so we took the h12's home and put it in the machine and from that time on its been starting easier. . quicker sometimes.

At the end of that week I got to drive it to the fairgrounds or wherever the parade started. Within 15 minutes we were on our way in the parade.

It was hot. . . and being on those machines made it hotter. During the parade a bee landed on my steering wheel and I tried everything to get it to go away. . . but for 5 mins it stayed there. . .

After the parade was over we drove our machine home. . . and guess who drove it???

It was fun to drive in the open air and get that air in your hair. .
