Getting Stuck With a 8N Ford

As a kid I go to my Grandpa's farm all the time. He has many tractors that I can drive but, there is one that I like the most. It is an unrestored 8n ford. Right now it is in the process of being restored. One day I was out there a year ago and was pretty bored. My Grandpa noticed that and said, 'why not drive the ford into the mud pit and see how far you can get. ' This was the first time he let me because last time he did that with the ford he had to get the eight wheeled john deere. Well the pit is 20 feet long and 20 feet wide. Most of the time it is 2 feet deep. We had forgot to measure before hand and thought it was only a foot deep. So I started to drive it in 1rst gear into the pit and got the whole tractor in. Then it started to sink and I quickly jumped off. The pit was actually 3 feet deep. So we thought. We went to get the JD eight wheeler from the barn. We got back and we were shocked. The tractor was gone. Since I was already covered with mud I jumped in. I started to walk around, but I started to sink. My Grandpa through me a rope and pulled me out. Then I tied the rope around my waist and jumped back in. I walked to where I drove the tractor in and ran into something. Suprise it was the 8n ford. I hooked a chain to the hitch of the ford and then to the John Deere. I then found the seat of the ford and sat on it and steered backwards while my Grandpa drove the John Deere. The ford pulled right out. The reason we are restoring it is because we would have to rebuild it any ways because of the mud so we just are restoring it.
