Times Up Tractor Boy. . . . . . .

For those of you who have had children you know very well they can bring such joy to us as parents. My oldest daughter is 11yrs old, but when she was 3yrs old she did something to this day makes my wife and I laugh when we remember the evening I was busy out in the garage restoring our 1941 Ford 9N tractor. I was spending every free moment I had in the garage and the situation had become a heated one at times with my wife. I was spending more time with that tractor then I was with my own family. Also not to mention the financial toll it was taking on buying new parts, and machine work. So the area of 'THAT TRACTOR' was a touchie one for me. So one evening back when our daughter was her cute little 3yr old self. I was deep in work trying to put the steering gears back into place and had already pinched my fingers several times, which of course made me very sensitive to anything that might and did annoy me. This is where history was made, our 3yr old opens the man door to the garage and in a very loud demanding stern voice tells her father ''OK Tractor Boy Times UP''. Well I flew off the handle, I surely thought my wife had put my daughter up to this, by coaching her what to say, and so I dropped my tools and stormed right into the house to confront my wife, and when I saw the blank look on her face I knew she didn't have a clue of what just happened, we both looked at our cute blonde haired Blue eyed daughter and started laughing. The Title of ''Tractor Boy'' has stuck with me ever since and my daughter's wit has only grown with age. It is memories like these that make me cherish my family and ''THAT'' tractor even more. Every time I look at the Ford I can still see that little girl telling me ''Times up Tractor Boy'' and a big smile comes to my face, and at the same time a little heart ache as well since that little girl is growing up.
