MY FARMALL STORY

Well it all started in spring of this year the neighbor down the road had this old Farmall m sitting around his place and my dad and brother were interested in it so they asked him about it and the guy just gave it to us. man we were on cloud nine until we got it home and opened it up and found all four cylinders were full of rust and water and have been for about 20 years any any we tore it all the way down and she runs like a top now. so one day while working on this prize I got to thinking I would like to have on of my own. so I got to looking in the ads and finally found one in selma about and hour from our house ao I bought it it ran what more can you ask for right well it was mid august and in california it's blooming hot and on the sunday we went to go get this thing it was 105 degrees out and I didn't measure the wheel spacing right and we spent 3 hours taking the wheels off and reversing them to get it to fit on the trailer and finally we got is it on and away we went. about mid september we changed the axle housing and the wheel centers because they had case centers instead of the ih ones then we decided to paint well it all ready ran right why not so we tore it down and got it all primed and cleaned and painted finally put it back together and went to start it and nothing the thing would just sit their and crank and nothing else so I had the mag checked. still nothing we put the thing in time still nothing we finally did a comperssion check on the cylinders and they were only getting less then 50ibs in each hole so we decided to kit it and see what happens so my brother bought the kit and put it in for me because with my work schedule it's almost impossible for me to do anything. so we finally got it put back together and went to fire it up again and still nothing. so now we are all getting ready to pull our hair out but we finally figured out it was trying to fire on the exhaust stroke so we were a 180 degrees off and finally got it back in the correct time and now she fire with ease and runs like a race horse I can't wain un til the weather gets better so I can be out driving her with a big smile.
