International or John Deere | I grew up on a farm My dad, being an international person that was all we had. Our neighber always had john deere 2cyl. Gs mostly. well if u wanted to see the fued u should have seen these two during fittin time and harvest time there fields ran side by side always racing and at least one would get stuck every yearsame place ususally well then the other would come over and really rub the other one bad seejd better or vise versathis happened every year my family and his figured they would be happy helping each other but no went rite to compitition but u know id never trade those memorys growing up on that farm for anything by the way I like the J D 2 CYL boy if dad ever knew bob, mi, entered 2005-09-26 My Email Address: Not Displayed |

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
